About the project
T.A.G. Construction carried out the demolition of Casa Sophia Condominium at Mount Sophia, District 9 - a residential property that required careful planning and execution for the complete removal of the existing condominium structures to make way for redevelopment.
The site sits on elevated terrain bounded by occupied homes and businesses, so our team planned custom access routes and staging areas. After an asbestos and hazardous-materials survey, soft strip proceeded floor by floor, followed by structural demolition with long-reach excavators fitted with hydraulic crushers, with covered walkways, structural monitoring of adjacent buildings and real-time dust and noise monitoring throughout.
Concrete was crushed on site where space permitted and reused for backfilling, metals went to licensed recyclers, and the site was backfilled, compacted and graded before handover in a clean, development-ready condition.
