About the project
T.A.G. Construction demolished multi-storey classroom blocks at Gong Shang Primary School to make way for the school's redevelopment.
The three- and four-storey reinforced-concrete blocks were brought down with long-reach excavators fitted with hydraulic crushers, working bay by bay from the top down so that the structure remained stable at every stage. With HDB blocks and occupied buildings nearby, dust suppression, noise control and a strict working-hours programme were maintained throughout.
Concrete and steel were separated on site for recycling, and the cleared site was handed over for the new construction.
